Positioning Tongue... Positioning Tongue which positions the rake between field and transport positions is hydraulically controlled to make operation more convenient and time saving. Rakes are available in ball hitch or clevis hitch. Rake Wheels... are built to last with larger diameter tines as well as a stronger, heavier center hub holding the tines. All side delivery wheels feature flexibility of movement allowing you to rake from 50% of maximum width to full width. These perimeters have been research proven as optimum operating rates for minimum and maximum degree of angle for pulling through the field. Also available optional poly wheel inserts for windy conditions. Tapered Roller Bearings... The arm positioning of the rake wheel pivots on tapered roller bearings so the end play of the bearings can be adjusted. Unlike other rakes with sleeves or ball bearings, these tapered roller bearings withstand the end thrust of the rake wheels. Grease fittings allow for easy lubrications. Poly Insert and Hay Guard... The patented Poly Insert protects against hay following the wheel around and being carried over the back side of the wheel in certain conditions. It attaches to the center of the wheel without affecting the flexibility of the teeth. The Hay Guard protects against hay falling on the back side of the wheel and being wrapped around the hub, affecting the performance of the rake. Flexible Frame... On 10 and 12 wheel rakes wheels are attached to a flexible frame for clean, uniform raking across the most uneven ground and wheels can be added to increase the width of swath being raked. These larger units come standard with a walking beam assembly on the front. The tongue swings hydraulically from raking to transport position. Adjustable Wheel Banks... The bank of wheels can be adjusted with a handle nut located at the rear end of the lifting mechanism. One turn adds or subtracts approximately 2 pounds of weight on each wheel depending on tightening or loosening. Expansion Capabilities... You may extend a 6 wheel to an 8 wheel rake or a 10 wheel to a 12 wheel rake simply by bolting on an additional 2 wheel on the front and installing a tongue extension. The 10 wheel model has a hinge in the frame for clean, uniform raking across even the most uneven ground. Adjustable Swath Width... The rear positioning wheel can be adjusted or moved with the use of a standard rachet jack or with an optional cylinder. This optional time saving feature is hydraulically controlled, allowing you to adjust the width of the swath or side draft from the tractor seat. Axle Stabilizer... Our exclusive damper brake assembly is standard on all castor wheels to eliminate shimmying and unwanted oscillation when traveling at road speeds yet allows pivoting while turning. The adjustable clamp has replaceable polyurethane which functions as a brake band does on a disc brake assembly thus eliminating steel against steel contact. Optional Valve... is available if a tractor is equipped with only 1 or 2 valves. The optional valve allows the operator to perform all side delivery rake funtions (folding the tongue for field or transport raising or lowering the rake wheels from raking to transport position and back) and an optional cylinder to adust the angle and width of swath desired.
